Southampton Bottling LLC, the local producer of popular microbrewery ales and lagers, said yesterday it reached an agreement iwth Pabst Brewing Co. to market and distribute Southampton's brews nationally. Financial terms of the deal weren't released. The company which opened in 1196 and operates the Southampton Publick House restaurant and microbrewery, had grown distribution to anticipated shipments this year of about 40,000 cases. Pabst will take on production of select Southampton Labels. Southampton brewmaster Phil Markowski will oversee production of the current line and work with Pabst's Robert Newman, the companies said.
